![]() Starting January 2024, fans will be able to race the concept car inside of the Gran Turismo 7 game. The V6 engine alone delivers 870hp and 790 lb-ft of torque, complemented by an additional 201hp and 196 lb-ft from the Yasa E motor. This hybrid race-spec drivetrain produces a staggering 1071hp and 986 lb-ft of torque. Under the hood, the X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept is powered by a Lambda 11 V6 engine, supported by Genesis E-SC technology. The digital panoramic interface, linked to a surround monitoring system, is designed to ensure unobstructed views, while the steer-by-wire grip commands facilitate precise control. Inside the cabin, Genesis’ “Beauty of White Space” philosophy, offers a minimalist yet functional environment. The design flows from the front to the rear, highlighted by the Two Lines that act as brand identifiers, complemented by an elliptical concave volume at the rear of the car, a hallmark of Genesis vehicles, accented by a rear spoiler and lateral trailing edges for enhanced high-speed stability. Other design elements include a Crest Grille with the Quad Lights, forming a lightweight, aerodynamic structure. It has become a catalyst of inspiration for our other programs.” The designers relished the opportunity to create a race car that featured Genesis design elements as well as technical performance attributes. “Our goal was to create a timeless design rooted in the essence of motorsport,” shared John Krsteski, Genesis Senior Chief Designer, adding “We have an incredibly diverse global design team that are car and racing enthusiasts. The design optimizes the dash-to-axle ratio, enhancing the mid-engine layout by shifting the driver and powertrain towards the rear.
